Volunteer

From an Omaha listener: “Thank you for opening up a glorious new day -- days! – for me. I will never forget your kindness. Tell your wonderful, unselfish volunteers that. This has been the most wonderful thing to happen to me in years!”

Volunteer Spotlight: John Miller

John Miller doesn’t have a regular reading slot here at RTBS. We have him reserved on what we call, “the sub list.” John comes in to help with the live reading of the Lincoln and Omaha papers whenever a regular reader is unavailable. He also serves on the RTBS Board of Directors. John was born in Omaha, but raised in Joplin, MO. He came back to Omaha and graduated from UNO with a degree in Political Science, but ended up working in banking for many years before moving to the printing industry. He retired in 2019, but forged many connections during his career, which he now uses in his volunteer work. John lives with his wife Pam and their Shitzu, Wyatt. He has two daughters and four grandchildren, all living in the Omaha area. When he’s not golfing, he serves as director for a special needs bowling league and also serves in the Kiwanis Club.
